Farmer and agricultural student Sebastian Margarit runs a small farm within the 100 mile diet range (from Halifax) on which is a Community Supported Agricultural program where people buy a "share" in the farm early in the spring and make an up front commitment to a specific amount of food orders. These orders will then be delivered to people's houses by Margarit. Expect unusual-for-NS specialty crops such as artichoke, asparagus and sweet potato. The big change this year is the installation of a high efficiency, low water use irrigation system. Visit vbfarm.ca for more information.
