We are the World Cup

Spots to get fired up watching footie

1 Niche Lounge

A summer sports fan's internal debate: whether to stay holed up inside, vitamin-D-free glued to the TV or enjoy the sweltering summer days that can be few and far between. Team Niche knows this problem all too well and finds the happy medium by putting a massive screen on the patio---you can watch the World Cup in the sun and pretend (wish) you're in Rio! Also, happy hour runs from 4pm on, daily.

1505 Barrington Street

2 Bubba Ray's Sports Bar

You'll see a lot of the Cup if you're hanging at Bubba's, given the sheer number of screens in this joint (that'd be 64), plus it has its own World Cup Challenge going (prizes!). At this always packed, usually rowdy sports bar, you'll make buds with fellow spectators quickly and the entirety of Spring Garden will hear your "Goooooalllllll" celebrations billowing from the windows.

5650 Spring Garden Road

3 MulticulturalFest

During Multifest (June 20-22) stop by the FIFA World Cup Beer Tent, to drink beer and wine from around the world while taking in matches at 4 and 7pm on Friday; 1, 4 and 6pm on Saturday and 1 and 4pm on Sunday.

Parking lot across from Pier 21, 1055 Marginal Road

4 HFX Sports Bar

You wanna see the questionable ref calls, divers and crybabies on the BIG screen, head to the city's newest spot to watch a million sports at once. HFX Sports has committed to showing every single game of the tourney.

1721 Brunswick Street

5 Anywhere with internet

Guys, the beautiful CBC is streaming games live from Brazil so you can test how far into your backyard the wifi reaches or keep tabs from your desk. cbc.ca/sports
