You may have had the pleasure of hearing We Need Secrets in the last couple of years, but chances are you haven't seen them. There's a reason for that, apart from the fact that brains of the operation, Chad Peck (Kestrels, Union of the Snake) is a multi-tasker extraordinaire. "The impetus for the project is to make records that exist in their own world---to not worry about pulling them off live, or band dynamics, or collaboration or integration with the current musical climate, but to focus on using words and layers to slightly debase the listener, " says Peck, who's rounded up a band of "unparalleled calibre" for Saturday, which marks We Need Secrets' third release (a split seven-inch with Garrett Mombourquette's Sea Glasses). Chris Thompson, Ron Bates and Jim MacAlpine will help Peck fill out his live show, which will also have a visual component, and this might be your one shot at seeing this version of the band. And to sweeten this one-time deal, the first 30 show-goers get a free seven-inch.
