What do you want from the upcoming city elections?

Next year's municipal elections mean Halifax is getting a new city council, and possibly a new mayor. What do you think that council/mayor needs to do to improve Halifax? Is the city perfect as it is, so your advice is for council to do change as little as possible? Or are there things that need fixing? Tell us what council's New Year's resolutions should be.

Send a mini-essay of 100 words or fewer by noon, Thursday, December 22 to timb@thecoast.ca, with "election" as the subject line. Please include your real name and a picture.

I'll pick a representative sample to publish in our January 5 issue, and on The Coast website.
