To the petulant woman who complained in last week's letters that Willow's Pet Place was undeserving of its Best of Halifax award: Shame on you for trying to smear this inspiring, pet-centric store. Spend one minute with Willow's owner Kyra Foster, and you will see that she's a generous, altruistic and caring local proprietor who supports other home-grown businesses including local shelters and rescue organizations. Willow's Pet Place provides human-grade and locally made food, cruelty-free toys and humane products for our beloved animals. Willow's also cares about the health of pets, our community and the planet, and The Coast's readership has acknowledged it accordingly. So, Joan Sinden, I think you should put a muzzle on your misinformed opinions! I hope one of Willows' happy, healthy pets pees on your shoe!
