World War II ‘D-Day’ Commemorative Display

A World War II living history display featuring uniformed re-enactors, dioramas, vehicles, airsoft range and models commemorates Canada’s contribution to the D-Day landings on the June 6th, 1944. Members of the Atlantic WWII Living History Association will be on site dressed as both Allied and Axis troops, and sentries will turn in their Victorian era Highland kilts and feather bonnets for the olive uniforms and steel helmets of the 1940s, recalling the fort’s role in World War II.
