Councillor Dawn Sloane, the Downtown Halifax Business Commission and the Halifax Regional Municipality in association with Music Nova Scotia are presenting a weekly, summer concert series called Tunes at Noon. The concerts will take place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from approximately 11:30am to 1:30pm in Grand Parade Square. The series will run from mid July to the end of August. Performances will be acoustic in nature with no backline provided. Tunes at Noon will provide: PA and sound equipment (set up and tear down), $200 per act, marketing and promotion. Interested performers are asked to send the following to Colleen Connolly at connolc@halifax.ca: A short bio, MySpace and/or Sonicbids link, dates not available to perform, contact information (phone number, email address, mailing address) and name to make cheque payable to.
